Please help support Freehold Township Ind. Fire Company #1 Assistant Chief Dan Spicuzza’s daughter Maddie in her battle with thyroid cancer.
#gotmaddies6On May 13th, Assistant Chief Dan Spicuzza’s daughter, and ex-Chief Chuck Yaeger’s granddaughter, Maddie, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. On June 25th, Maddie will undergo a 6-7 hour surgery at CHOP to remove the tumor, thyroid and lymph nodes. She will follow up to receive radiation six weeks after surgery.
She is a young, vibrant teen ingrained in this community and will not be fighting this battle alone. The members, families and friends of our house all #gotmaddies6 and are ready to fight by her side. We are asking our community to join us in standing behind her to show love and support for this amazing girl who may have a long road ahead.
We will be selling adult size t-shirts ($20) and silicone bracelets ($5) in support of Maddie on Saturday, June 15th from 10am-12pm at our firehouse located at 330 Stillwells Corner Road.
After Saturday, you can place a direct order through this link - forms.gle/VQzuQQi3fJsN42eHA. We will have pick up at the firehouse every Tuesday night until mid-July. All orders placed through this form will receive a confirmation and details about pick up. If you need your order faster, please see contact details for A.J. Story on the form.

Woodland, NJ (Burlington County) has a major forest fire burning in the Penn State Forest by Coyle. 1,000 + acres are burning and expected to increase. Crews are reporting a rapid spread and numerous task forces and strike teams have been deployed to assist the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. Route 72 will remain closed between Route 532 and Route 539
Officials are predicting that the smoke will be in heading to the Monmouth County area.. If you start to smell smoke this is probably the reason. ... See MoreSee Less

Last night was a very nostalgic moment for the East Freehold Fire Co. as Ex-Chief Jack Lovey returned to Freehold for the first time in 32 years. Jack joined the fire company in October of 1970, and served as Chief in 1975, 86 & 87. Due to an unforeseen circumstance, upon completing Jacks term as Chief, he moved away in 1987. With Jacks quick departure, we were never able to honor him as a Life Member of the East Freehold Fire Company.
A few weeks ago, Jacks son Dave Lovey President of Southard Fire Dept. No.1, alerted our members that his father was planning on returning to town on March 20th. We as a company agreed not only it was important while he was in town to visit the fire house, but that we would honor him with our membership being present, including Charter Member Fred Searby, who came in from Delaware, that we would present Ex-Chief Lovey with his Life Member plaque.
Although there were a lot of new faces that Jack didn’t know yet, Charter Member Fred Searby left us off with this, “it’s amazing after 32 years the more we change, the more we stay the same.” ... See MoreSee Less
So great to see Jack and have him back at EFFC. Brings back wonderful memories of these men who volunteered to keep our township and its families safe.
Jack looked great! It was a really special evening. Thanks for letting me be a part of it! Nothing warms my heart remembering all those wonderful memories. We were like a big family back then. Wish my Dad was there at this event.
Such a great night. The smiles on their faces were priceless.
Thank you Jack! Congrats!

For the month of March, anyone that books the Mirror Photo booth with us, for their next event in 2019, 10% of the booking price will be donated to the Marvelous McKenna Family Foundation.
#MarvelousMcKenna was started by the East Freehold Fire Company because one of their own members child was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor. No child should ever go through such a thing and a family should never have to deal with that. Having volunteered through an organization for Kids with Cancer, it brings such joy to be able to create happiness of hope and love to these children. Now that we have the opportunity to help one of our own, we will take it, and drive with it.
For more information, including other fundraising opportunities for McKenna and her family..you can check out #MarvelousMcKenna or the East Freehold Fire Company Facebook page.
To book, send us a message through our various ways of communication. Be sure to mention #MarvelousMcKenna so 10% of the bookings goes towards the cause!
