The East Freehold Fire Company provides fire protection to the eastern portion of Freehold Township. State Highway 9 Northbound is the dividing line for the Freehold Township Fire Districts, although Route 522 southbound is considered Fire District #1.

This morning at 11:59, we were dispatched along with our mutual aid partners Freehold Fire Department (Station 15) and Freehold Township Ind. Fire Company #1 to a vehicle vs building at the Central Jersey Pool Complex. No injuries were reported. Freehold Emergency Medical Services came to check out the owner of the vehicle. Freehold Township Police Department responded along with the Freehold Township Building Department ! We cleared the scene at 12:46 ... See MoreSee Less

Commissioners

For the first five years the members of our fire company raised all the money to support the fire company through donations and door to door fund raising drives.

In 1972 the members decided that it wasn’t feasible to go door to door for donations any longer, so they decided to ask the taxpayers of Freehold Township District #2 to allow the fire company to form the Board of Fire Commissioners. It was approved by a wide margin. So, in 1972 the Commissioners were formed to oversee fire protection for the people, buildings and property of Freehold Township Fire District #2.
